Creative Repute installed a bright, intricate wheat paste art mural on the floor of the Philadelphia Convention Center for the Informa Markets’ Natural Products Expo East in 2021.
What is Wheat Paste Art?
Wheat paste is a gel or liquid adhesive made from wheat flour, starch, and water. It is temporary and bio-degradable, so it can be pasted to most surfaces. Wheat paste art is commonly used to raise awareness about important social and environmental issues, market products and services, and promote art in public spaces.
About The Project
The initial idea for the Expo East tradeshow was a chalk floor, but our team determined it would be too messy during the test run, so we went with wheat paste instead. It was important that we used temporary, eco-friendly marketing materials so that the work was fully mission aligned with the tradeshow and vendor’s values.
