Creative Repute partnered with shanina dionna to create the official trailer for Pillars, transforming hours of interview footage into a cinematic introduction to the larger documentary. Through story editing, pacing, motion graphics, color correction, audio finishing, closed captioning, and title design, we crafted a trailer that captured the emotional heart of the project while introducing audiences to the film.
West Philadelphia artist, community arts educator, and Provisional Registered Art Therapist shanina dionna has built her career at the intersection of art, mental health, and community care. Her interdisciplinary practice combines visual art, storytelling, movement, and expressive arts therapy to explore themes of identity, healing, belonging, and resilience. After earning her master’s degree in Art Therapy & Counseling from Drexel University, shanina developed Pillars as her culminating graduate project, bringing together nearly twenty artists, educators, curators, and cultural workers to reflect on the environments that sustain their creativity and well-being.
One Question. Nearly Twenty Perspectives.
At the center of Pillars is a single question: “What space best nurtures your well-being or creativity?”
The answers are deeply personal. Participants describe finding restoration through nature, faith, family, museums, community gathering spaces, quiet moments at home, and creative rituals practiced over a lifetime. Rather than searching for one universal definition of a sacred space, the film reveals how each person’s environment shapes their ability to heal, create, reflect, and care for others.
The trailer features a diverse group of Philadelphia artists, educators, curators, and cultural workers, including Aignér Autry, Dyymond Whipper-Young, Ginger Rudolph, Shivon Pearl Love, Taji Ra’oof Nahl, Zindzi Harley, and others, whose reflections offer an intimate portrait of creativity, healing, and belonging.
Creating a Trailer That Reflects the Artist’s Voice
Every creative decision was guided by shanina’s vision. Rather than producing a traditional documentary trailer built around exposition, we focused on rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional connection. The pacing allows each participant’s voice to breathe while carefully weaving individual stories into a unified narrative.
Working collaboratively through multiple rounds of refinement, our team developed the trailer’s structure, graphics, captions, color, sound, and finishing details. We also incorporated presentation requirements, participant credits, accessibility improvements, narration, and music revisions to prepare the film for its public debut.
Introducing a Larger Body of Work
The completed trailer premiered during shanina’s graduate colloquium at Drexel University, introducing audiences to Pillars before the full documentary and her interdisciplinary exhibition, l a y e r s, will debute in October 2026. Together, the film and exhibition continue shanina’s exploration of how space, identity, community, and creative practice contribute to psychological well-being and collective care.
Following the release, shanina publicly thanked Creative Repute for helping bring the project to life and later described our team as a “God-send.”

Helping Artists Share Stories That Matter
Every meaningful project begins with a vision. Our role is to help bring that vision into focus without losing what makes it personal.
For Pillars, that meant creating a trailer that introduced more than a film. It invited viewers into a conversation about the places, people, and practices that help us heal, create, and belong. We are grateful to have partnered with shanina on a project that reflects the power of storytelling to strengthen both individuals and communities.
