Graphic Design and Website Audit | One Pennsylvania

Annual plan infographics mockup

Creative Repute partnered with One Pennsylvania to design two funder-facing annual plans that make the case for the organization’s 2025 program. The work translated ambitious statewide organizing goals into visually compelling documents. The engagement also included a brand audit and website audit across both OnePA entities, giving the organization a clear roadmap for strengthening its digital presence.

About the Project

Annual Plan cover mockupLeading into 2025, OnePA faced a high-stakes year. The organization was working to close a multi-million dollar funding gap while simultaneously scaling its programs across the state.

To make the case to funders, OnePA needed annual plans to clearly communicate the scope and ambition of OnePA’s work in a way that matched the urgency of the moment. The two plans also needed to speak to distinct audiences and compliance requirements: one for the c4’s electoral and political work, one for the c3’s community organizing and civic engagement programs, while maintaining a cohesive visual identity and message across both.

Creative Repute was engaged to lead the design and production of both plans and to conduct a brand and website audit across both entities to support the broader strategic work that informed them.

Organization Background

One Pennsylvania (OnePA) is a statewide grassroots movement dedicated to racial, economic, and social justice in Pennsylvania. Founded in 2011 as One Pittsburgh and expanded to Philadelphia in 2016, OnePA operates through two interconnected entities: OnePA (a 501c4), which focuses on electoral and political work, including candidate endorsements and voter mobilization, and OnePA4ALL (a 501c3), which drives community organizing, voter education, and civic engagement with a deep focus on Black liberation and working-class communities across the state.

Our Approach

Annual Plans

The work began with a brand audit that examined OnePA’s existing identity, messaging, visual assets, and digital presence across both entities. This gave the team a clear baseline and surfaced opportunities to strengthen visual cohesion and consistency before design work began. A creative brief was developed and delivered to the client, establishing the strategic foundation that would guide the design direction across all deliverables.

The core message that emerged, “Everyday Heroes, Collective Power,” shaped everything that came after. Rather thanAnnual Plan open pages mockup leaning into an abstract superhero aesthetic, the team grounded the theme in the real community members at the heart of OnePA’s work, treating the people who knock on doors, organize their neighbors, and show up to the polls as the heroes of the story.

From that foundation, the team built two annual plans, one for OnePA and one for OnePA4ALL, each tailored to its respective audience and legal requirements while sharing a unified visual language. The plans required a multi-person design effort: one designer handled the overall layout, another developed custom superhero-inspired icons and illustrations that brought the theme to life visually, and a third managed infographic design to translate OnePA’s data-heavy program goals into clear, compelling visuals. An art director oversaw the cohesion of the work across all contributors.

The design elements throughout the plans were intentional. Custom icons representing different aspects of OnePA’s work, from base-building to voter registration to coalition organizing, gave the plans a distinctive visual identity rather than relying on generic stock imagery. Infographics translated ambitious program goals, including reaching one million Pennsylvanians and knocking on 480,000 doors, into visuals that funders could absorb quickly and remember. Calendars and timelines laid out the year’s campaigns and milestones in a format that communicated organizational readiness and operational clarity.

The c4 and c3 plans share visual continuity while speaking clearly to the distinctions between the two entities, an important consideration given the compliance and messaging differences that govern what each organization can say and to whom. Managing that balance across two parallel documents, with multiple designers, multiple rounds of client feedback, and a tight turnaround, was a central project management challenge that the CR team coordinated closely throughout.

Website Audit

In addition to the annual plan design work, Creative Repute conducted a comprehensive website audit across both onepa.org and onepaforall.org. The audit evaluated each site for performance, accessibility, SEO, branding consistency, and content gaps, giving the CR team a clear picture of where OnePA’s digital presence stood relative to the strength of its on-the-ground work.

The findings surfaced concrete, prioritized opportunities across both sites: broken links affecting user experience and credibility, mobile load time issues that could limit reach among a mobile-first audience, inconsistencies in visual elements across the two entities, and calls to action that weren’t converting the urgency of OnePA’s mission into clear next steps for visitors.

The audit was delivered as a standalone document, giving OnePA a roadmap they could act on independently or bring back to Creative Repute for implementation. For an organization operating at the scale and pace that OnePA does, having a clear, honest assessment of its digital infrastructure helps identify where the gap is between how the organization shows up online and how it shows up in the community.

The Outcome

Annual Plan Map Illustration MockupThe result of this engagement is two funder-facing annual plans that reflect the scale, ambition, and urgency of OnePA’s 2025 program. The plans are designed to make it easy for the people reading them to say yes.

For a first engagement with a new client, this project demonstrated the full breadth of what CR brings to mission-driven work. It required creative strategy, custom illustration and iconography (including a custom map highlighting OnePA chapters), data visualization, multi-entity brand management, and coordinated production across a distributed team, all delivered on a timeline driven by the realities of election-year organizing.

The website audit delivered alongside the plans gives OnePA a clear picture of where their digital infrastructure stands and what it will take to bring it in line with their mission, creating a foundation for future work as the organization continues to grow.

How Funder-Facing Design Helps Organizations Win

For grassroots organizations, funding is infrastructure. Funder-facing materials like annual plans are the case for why an organization deserves investment, and they need to work as hard as the programs they describe.

  • Design builds credibility. Funders review dozens of proposals. A plan that is visually polished, clearly structured, and easy to navigate signals organizational capacity and professionalism before a single line of content is read.
  • Data visualization drives comprehension. Program goals are often ambitious by nature. Custom infographics and visual storytelling translate large numbers and complex strategies into something funders can absorb, remember, and share with their colleagues.
  • Strong creative direction extends the brand. Annual plans don’t live in isolation. When the visual language of a plan aligns with the organization’s broader identity, it reinforces recognition and trust with every funder who sees it.
